Encounters and exchange between witnesses and students
Ber Grossman, brother of Natan Grossman, was murdered in March 1942 in the German extermination camp Kulmhof/Chelmno.
In commemoration of Ber, who was 19 years old when he died, we travelled to Poland in April 2017, together with Natan Grossman to places of their childhood and to places of terror. We, that is – Polish students from Izbica Kujawska, Jens-Jürgen Ventzki, son of the head mayor of the then German occupied city of Łódź/Litzmannstadt, and other friends. We travelled to Łódź, Izbica Kujawska, Memorial Site of extermination camp Kulmhof (Chełmno), and Zgierz where both brothers were born and grew up together.
